A social media campaign for Patch Plants as part of the YCN 2021 competition.
When reading the brief, I noted the phrase ‘plant parent’, which also appeared on Patch’s website and social media. After research, I came up with the idea of Patch Parent which is based on various family-themed photos with plants. I wanted to take the plant parent theme and give a literal sense by treating the plant as a child and photographing it on trips out and at family activities. These are then posted on popular social media platforms with the hashtag #patchparent. The idea is versatile and easy to adapt to multiple social media platforms.
This campaign is aimed at a young audience of plant lovers who will create plant parent photos themselves and post them using the hashtag. This idea should spark creativity and humour to connect people and start conversations about Patch leading to more public awareness across the UK.
